Seven volumes complete, published between 1950-1956, comprising, "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe", (1950), 172pp, [2]; "Prince Caspian", (1951), 194pp, [2]; "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader", (1952), 223pp, [1]; "The Silver Chair", (1953), 217pp, [1]; "The Horse and His Boy", (1954), 199pp, [1]; "The Magician's Nephew", (1955), 183pp, [1] and "The Last Battle", (1956), 184pp. Rebound in full purple goatskin by Temple Bookbinders, smooth back, vellum title / author label to spine and small vellum date label to foot, two unequal panels with volute tools to head and foot joined by straight lines, covers with single fillet border, gilt to inner dentelles, a.e.g., attractive Chiyogami endpapers. Externally the spines have dulled, internally one or two spots of foxing, but generally bright and clean. Housed in a velvet lined purple buckram slipcase.
